{little peanut}

that was kaylee's nickname when she was born. she was just a little peanut. only 5 lbs. 7 oz. and 18 inches long. seriously so tiny! she had her 8 year check up last week and well, nothing has changed.

her stats at 8

weight: 45.2 pounds = 7th percentile

height: 45.25 inches = 1st percentile

the poor girl is barely on the chart. her weight is slowly but surely going up, which is great for her. but her height is a little bit of a concern. although her dr. is amazing and told us really to not worry about it. she's is and always will be tiny. i was always the shortest one in my class growing up too.

 the dr. said some parents insist that their children be put on growth hormones in these situations, but that he did not recommend that. pretty sure we wouldn't do that anyway. we sure love our little peanut. even if she did scream at the top of her lungs what a horrible mom i am, and force a nurse and i to hold her down for her flu shot. she couldn't get the flu mist because she has asthma. didn't remember that from last year. oops. she likes to be warned about these types of things.

 it was awful awesome.
