{who would've thought}

so kaylee had been complaining of headaches for the past few weeks. i knew the girls were due for their annual eye exam so it was the perfect time to go. kaylee's exam went great. she's just straining a bit

{from school, playing on the computer} but her vision is awesome.

then it was presley's turn. the doctor surprised us by saying that presley is extremely near sighted in her left eye {or was it her right?, it's been a long few days} basically her good eye has been overcompensating for her bad eye and even when the doctor corrected the bad eye, she still couldn't see out of it. there was a name for it. her eye lense is flat not curved. so she's getting these cute glass in a week or so and will have to wear them all the time for the first 3 months.

we have another check up in february and if her eye hasn't improved we'll have to patch the good eye and force the bad eye to start working again. we had NO idea. what is really sad is presley has been really clumsy. she runs into things all the time, trips over stuff, etc....

we just thought she was a bit clumsy and turns out the poor kid wasn't seeing out of one eye. parent of the year award right here. i felt so bad. her exam last year was great but the doctor said when kids are little and growing so fast these things happen quickly. it's a good thing we caught it early too.

she is soooooo cute. love her!
